At Custom Painting & Refinishing, we are staining experts. With knowledge of the best and latest stripping and staining materials and techniques, our team will ensure the longest lasting staining work possible. No corner will be cut; no surface left unstained. 

Pre-Job Inspection

• Thorough analysis of needed prep-work, failing areas, water damage, and repair work

• Accurate estimate of materials needed for job and pricing

• Detailed estimate providing entire scope of work and price options

Color Consultation

• Meeting with client to discuss color themes for decks, trim, siding, or other stained surfaces

• Assistance in color selection, including 1-2 test patches for each area to be stained

• Guidance on surface sheens: transparent, semi-trans, or solid (opaque) stains

Surface Preparation

• Initial Pressure Wash to remove dirt, debris, and flaking stain from surface

• Application of wood brightener and stain stripper, followed by final pressure wash to open pores in the wood

• Covering of all non-stained surfaces, including: walls, concrete, plants, etc

• Complete Sanding of deck surface to remove remaining failing coating

• Blowing/sweeping/wiping of stained surfaces prior to stain application

Coating Application

• Decks, trim, eaves, and soffits will be stained by hand using brush and roller

• Large stained areas (siding, etc) will be stained using an airless sprayer

• Only the highest quality stain and materials will be used on every job we work on

Post-Job Walkthrough

• Thorough inspection of all stained and non-stained surfaces to ensure complete coverage, jobsite cleanliness, and lasting quality of the work

• All stained areas signed off by client before final payment is requested

Touch-Up Service

• One year after completion of project: Custom Painting & Refinishing will return to your home (if requested) for touchups or an added layer of stain for extra protection (estimate will be required)
